Winch It windlass wireless remote

We have a Winch It wireless remote, about 10 years old, which came with 2 remotes. One of the remotes has stopped working and fiddling around has made no difference, so probably time to replace it.
Are these units all on the same wavelength or will I have to wire in the new control unit?

If they were all on the same wavelength, when you operated your windlass in the marina you neighbours would work too.

Unless there are instructions for pairing a new handset, you'll need to replace the receiver.

They're cheap and cheerful bits of kit. It really is a case of buy new and ditch the old: I’ve done it once about 7 years after I first fitted one. Simple job other than the access to the old one….

What would be even more fun, would be to have a remote on the same frequency as his bow thruster remote

When my remote packed up I bought a new receiver which came with two remotes online. I can't remember the price but it was less than £20 I'm certain. In the end I repaired the original remote so I have the new kit as a spare.

I have two of the same unit, they are listed as the same frequency but it said somewhere that they are factory coded to the receiver, suspect just like digital radio control stuff. I did not see a way to allow to pair them
