I have recently bought a William Osborne '30's motor yacht called Julia Ann (no.1810). She is a swallow senior 32' mahogany on oak with original Morris Navigator engines. She is tired but very original. I am interested in finding out as much as possible about her history and that of Osbornes.

Are you sure that's her original name?

The reason I ask is that there is no mention of Julia Ann in a 1949 Lloyds Register of Yachts. I know diddly about this sort of thing but love doing the detective bit. There is a 32' Osborne called Julietta built in 1937 owned by an H. Chubb of 39 Latimer Road, Bournemouth but I doubt if he's still there. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

You.re right about Mr Chubb-no longer there. I will have to keep trying to see if her name is original. Thanks anyway.
