Will it be of interest

Currently I'm pottering through the Canary islandsfor the winter, trying to get to as many as I can but many places will be missed out, will it be of interest to post marina prices and opinions about services or is it all immediately out of date info! There is no up to date pilot guide giving anything close to really useful. Anchorages will also play a large part as I am not naturally a marina person.

Or should I just let everyone find their own way which is what cruising is about after all

i would certainly be interested, and if you could add which places sting multi's with additional charges that would be a bonus also as I would like to spend a winter season there myself.

We are also pottering around the Canaries - well we will be when we fly back out there again on Friday. Marina La Gomera gets a big thumbs up from us as does the whole Island. PM us if you would like to meet up there. We can recommend a few anchorages around the island too but be prepared to kedge for comfort.

I think it's a good idea. Even better if you could give a range of prices for say: 10m, 11m & 12m.

What would be usefully is if you can find the time to build a site some thing like I did for Croatia ( see link below ) with has much info as you can about anchorages as well as marinas , NOT A BLOG , Tony Cross have also done some thing of that kind about Crete , Pilot books are great but there are normally out of date , you can't beat personal info from people who have been there , is some of the best info I found .
we been thinking about the islands for some years now for the winter and returning back to the Med for the summer months , but like Croatia we l keep getting put off by people who says wether and swell is to bad anchor and there no safe anchorages , Taxes and rumours that the Spanish have now stop anchoring on most places . personally I can't believe that the case , I think like the rumours about Croatia they are spread by hear say , by people who never been there or cruisers who only feel safe in marinas or an anchorages which is 95% close in and they don't consider other spots to be an safe anchorages .
you may think not many will read it , but I can assure you people with interest in sailing there will , my site was getting hundreds of hits a days while it was still being updated and even tho I stop updated it some time back it still being used , yesterday when I looked there was 45 hits , be a good cruiser and spread the word. .
I for one will be checking it often .

All noted I shall get everything together and start a new thread next time I have decent internet and add to it as I go

Unfortunately I don't carry the tariff sheets around with me or else I could do it now, I have made a point of grabbing them where I can so I have some info but don't want to waste my winter hunting internet connections and tied to a screen but I promise I will post it up
