The Eastbourne lifeboat is out on a shout heading south at the moment
Possibly looking for the yacht "Sassenach" I mentioned ?

Going North East now looks like a search pattern.
Or going home

I can't see that lifeboat on AIS
Oh I see it under a pilot vessel name
The Eastbourne Lifeboat and the Hastings Lifeboats have been stood down and are returning to base.
The Selsey Lifeboat has been launched to go to the aid of "Sassenach" located SW of The Owers Light.
The Navigator of 'Sassenach' is off my crew list, if as per your post, they were making for Eastbourne from Boulogne this morning and are SW of the Owers 16hrs later. They've been bashing to windward all day!
Keep us up to date, Lenseman, I've got to go to bed, things to do later today, and a b/day party tonight, plus bad night's sleep yesterday.
Yes its the Hampshire I was looking at. How come this lifeboat is not showing up as the others did?
Could it be to stop nosy people like me from seeing what's going on?
Lifeboats are not required to have AIS but can turn it on if required in foggy conditions or multi-ship searching an area.
It's Midsummer's Day! I want my money back.
I was going to pop down and put the sails back on today.
Midsummer's day is the 24th June, you will have to wait till Sunday![]()

We are experiencing nasty gusts here at Haslar pushing me around a bit and I weigh 25 tons!
Not to worry as Hurricane CHRIS is heading NE, towards the UK and will be passing possibly sometime next week as a TS.

The link in your post says it is now heading north-west. Or am I wrong?
MAYDAY MOB appears to be from yacht Saffron, thankfully now apparently all safe, see http://tinyurl.com/7muzqj4
