Why is that Anchor's are named after butter?

Re: Why is that Anchor\'s are named after butter?

Think they should really rename Spades to Kerrygolds .. would avoid offending the politically correct!

Of course /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif (but concede that our family only uses butter for baking).

I wonder about Anchor tho', 'cos this from their UK site

Anchor is the original and only Free Range Butter. Our butter is made from cows which roam freely and eat fresh green grass all year round. That's what gives Anchor the rich, creamy taste that nature intended.

Sounds like a mixture of free range chooks and minced up cows /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Which is why the anchor never holds - and boaty peeps shouldn't use one - you'll end up free range in Cowes.
