Why I like boating on the SoF

Another identical

pair Eurocrafts

Both immaculate btw and both for sale .

When it comes to SY s here Loano could be considered a bit of a grave yard of orphans looking for new homes .
Helipad on site and small PVT jet airport 15 kms away means discrete visits assured .Plus a 800 T lift in the yard to use if needed .Prospects are spared the ignominy of riding round in blacked out Mercedes’ vans , sorry Vitos .

Have you 'read somewhere' that it's best to include feet in the majority of photos? Trust me, it's not necessary :ROFLMAO: !

We could also do without reiterated photos of a passerelle with a worn out teak grating, which is only going from bad to worse as time passes...
...not to mention a red duster which is way too small for the boat and its flag pole.

Speak for yourself .
Grating is fine btw . That’s a “Pin craft “ pass .Uber quality bit of kit .Google them .
Flag size there’s a reason .A bigger one hangs in the way nuisance wise doing the ropes , dropping the tender and SUP .
Tried both .Pref the petite version .It’s not accidental. This one was a gift from the guardian Co .Brit manners meant I declined the bigger .
Aside a bigger flag might block the light and hinder me reading books ( by MIT professors) on naval architecture.😀

I will do more now .Thx for the pointer .😌

I don't need to google for them, 'cause I've been at their Viareggio factory - or better said, tiny workshop.
Which makes me wonder what you are basing your "uber quality" claim on.

Regardless, they don't do any teak grating.
They just stick the cheapest catalogue stuff they can find on their passerelles.
When they don't buy the whole passerelle already built from their Chinese contractor, that is.

Anyhow, if that grating is fine for you, as well as the flag size, who am I to argue?
The only point Mark raised (and I supported!) is that some if not most of your pics are unnecessary, nothing else.

All packed up ready to take the boat out this morning...after wasting yesterday fixing the hot water...and the bow thruster fails😳🥺😱😡....I check the batteries and they are good...it has just lost all oomph...my instant diagnosis is a build up of carbon dust...or the carbon brushes are worn down....I have taken the bow thruster out before...but it’s a killer job...under the bed, in the pointy end, no room to sit or to work...it’s a young man’s job...unfortunately all boat yards are closed till Tuesday. Hopefully we can get someone out soon after that

What manufacturer is the BT ?

To turn it - move the commutator why not dive in and twist the prop ?

It’s made by the Italian company Quick.
It’s moored in the river...so only in a couple of feet of water...but it’s disgusting 😳😱...I don’t think that there is an obstruction...because it does move, just weakly

Silly question, but have you checked for any loose connections ?

I’m a relative newbie to the forum and love reading peoples view nd options on things. This thread in particular is great as thinking of making the transition to SoF and coming down in October to look around.
While 90% of posts are good-humoured some feel fairly “cutting” to contributors, why is this necessary? I wonder how many people are put off contributing their insight and thoughts by this ? Just thinking ….

Was thinking that, but could also be a bad battery, even if voltage OK. Brushes should last ages.
The brushes are big...but the spring can only push them so far before they can’t reach. I have a battery tester that checks the health of the battery not just the voltage...it’s never let me down so far....
