Why I like boating on the SoF

Chaps, and I use the masculine purposefully here. This post was about boating on the SoF, not yet another engine/boat/running technique diatribe.

Please feel free to start another post to fulfil that purpose and leave this to about boating on the SoF.
You are right - and sorry for replying to Portofino - I had not seen point was already raised from others.

Having sold, I am looking for my next boat in the Med - idea is over two years (SOF area ) or probably three years (Adriatic) to cruise from the Med to the Baltic. Ideally a fulldisplacement hull would suit me well, but also a SD.

It was said here ""If you want some other use of a P boat then why not buy it, get a SD or full fat D hull ? "" ---- Simply because the price for a Full D boat is three times that of a full P, and even the SD you will find for sale are usually overpowered.
And now back to you with the SOF topic

It's a town/council marina so like several others it is refreshingly good value for short term rentals. Great location obvs - its where the boat show is held.
I'm moving my boat maintenance there when new boat arrives - they have a 100tonne crane (on your left as you enter the port) and they lift you and wash your hull, then they put you in their yard and you can bring all your own tradespeople in. And you're right in town for beers after work.

Just really seen it
