I have been posting pictures that I have loaded onto "photoboxes" website.Previously they stayed on but lately dissapear in a short time to be replaced with the message "No image available".

I am posting a few here from different albums to see if the problem is on one particular album.

Anyone have any ideas??

It could be a number of things.

Amongst the most likely is that photobox do not allow linking to external sites (cos when hundreds of people on the internet start looking at pictures on ybw for instance, the photobox servers will take a hammering) and may have software in place to block external links once people start looking.

It could also be that part of the contract is that you are only allowed a certain bandwith (Kb or Mb of views) or number of views per picture or per album, and once that limit is exceeded, then off goes the link

or it could just be one of those things.

I have had a look at their terms and conditions. All in fairly plain english,I couldnt find anything that forbids posting a link to another website.

I think that as these pics have survived a couple of days maybe it was a temporary problem or as you say maybe if several people try to download a pic simultaneously it triggers something on their website.

If it happens again Ill start using boatones site for the purpose.

Two of the images above are showing the 'iamge not available' message. Are these in anyway different from the other: in a different album, in a password or restricted to users with nominated email addresses, from a thumbprint or medium size picture instead of full size picture etc etc. Something about them is different, and that is your clue

brendan Thanks for the suggestions. I think you may be right about the album types. One of my albums are "public"the others are "shared" ,strange how it works for a while though.

Any more probs and I will start using Boatones site for this purpose.
