Short term plans - Hoping to head from Greece to France Spain or Portugal. We cant leave until end of July which possibly gives us Contrary winds like when we tried in 2006 and gave up due to storms off Corsica and Sardinia, we will have to see.
Last time we got as far as Sicily and then decided to return to Greece.
However, now we want to bring the boat closer to home. I love sailing in Greece but for someone who doesnt have all season on the boat it is just too difficult to get out to.
Thought of France, possbly Port Karmargue, Spain possibly Almerimar or Portugal possibly Lagos as it is easy to fly out or relatively easy to drive out. It means we can go out for long weekends and work on the boat and stuff.

The carmarge has a plague of mosquitoes some may carry dengy fever, its got as far as Italy so wont be long before it gets to France

Interesting how few choose the med or canals.Irland and Scotland are terrific and English is more or less spoken!Beats the tick infested Baltic.

Nigels plan to cruise to the scargard this year is very optamistic as the sea can be very bad sometimes for a couple of weeks.Stockholm area is ok if your in a group with food and drink!Nice islands if it dosent rain

I have a folkboat for sale there not expensive!

Your not exactly selling the place then? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Actually more likely to go to Almerimar as its price is reasonable and seems to have reasonable facilities. Ideal choice would be Lagos, but the price for a year is exhorbitant, unless you can be out of there for the busy 3 months. A luxury I dont have.
So what are your plans trouville, when you get away?
