Not sure why they would, that would exclude most of their better customers. Most of them do have low FAME diesel though I believe.

Unfortunately for them the answer is to either bring cans from home or buy from fuel stations in cans, which itself will be frustrating due to limits on capacity in cans which some stations choose to implement (for diesel, it's not the law).
They will get FAME from a forecourt though, so may have issues if storing longer than a few months.

Most visiting boats from the EU seem to simply fill up with red diesel - as in large parts of the country there is no alternative unless on a small boat only needing a few litres.
That is a high risk strategy, because small traces of the new marker are easily detectable and subject to big fines in euroland.

You could try a company like Solent Fuels who supply white diesel to people like digger operators, if you need hundreds of litres.
They will take a small tanker to a quay somewhere.
For a few tens of litres, where is the nearest fuel station to a quayside?

The change of marker is a new development and IF you read the article - it says what I said - Yellow Marker.

Its purely evolution of the system to further enhance detectability - continuing the practice started many years ago.

But as you seem to want to insult ... just go back over the years and quite often I have stated clearly that my blending of fuels was ended a while back - my work now is to ensure delivery as sold ...
What Marker is used - I do not provide any more ..

Just so people like B27 understand :

In simple terms ...
White or Full Taxed Diesel Fuel has been without any Dyes / Markers apart from if a Brand likes to be different. Basically because full taxes are paid on it and can be used in any application.
Red - reduced Tax Diesel primarily for Agricultural and other specified use - boaters were included - needed a physical aspect to control the use of. Red Dye as a visual factor was introduced many years ago .. in other countries it could be green or whatever they chose. The Dye was not a complete solution and a CHEMICAL Marker was introduced to defeat the 'laundering' of this diesel. Red Dye could be removed by use of filtering mediums - but the tanks would retain evidence of it. But the C&E Inspectors when checking tanks would not only visually check for Red - but chemically check for the Marker. This Marker was extremely difficult to remove or hide and is commonly termed "Yellow Marker'.

The evolution of the Marker has not been just at latter end of 2023 ... but has had a number of since its inception many years ago.

With regard to my Company's work with blending - rarely would we be required to inject the two components - imagine a ship of 40,000 ... 80,000 ton or more ... the cargo would be blended by us for delivery to a specific market and then that market would add or modify as they required. Most often - the cargo divided up to various receivers and market use.
If we were involved with Road or Rail tankers - then the addition of such came up occasionally.

The major additions we were usually involved in were :

Gas Oil (Diesel) >
Cloud Pt
CFPP
Lubricity
Cetane
Oxidation and Stability

Fuel Oil / Crude>
H2S
Pour Point
Flow improvers

Gasoline >
Octane
Butanization
Oxidation and Stability

The above are just examples of our work previously. Because of market changes - we moved on and now concentrate more on Fuel Oil and Crude. Occasionally as happened yesterday - we are invited to cover a ULSD EN590 cargo for a client .. which actually looks like it may develop into a regular avenue again.
