I use a Sony Ericsson P910i with Vodafone. Works well and does evething I want.

Well I have a Treo 600 and it has been replaced by the Treo 650. I can hartlery recommend it to any yacht owner for one really good reason. It is a Palm OS phone and I have Tide Tool installed, it has harmonics available for most regions around the world. The UK Hydrographic office claims copyright on a lot of the Harmonics which means that they can only use a limited number around the UK, so we have Portsmouth but not Southampton in the Solent.

If you want one ofthese then you will need to get it from Orange and not all shops stock it. I believe it is one of the top selling phones in the US and is a strong rival for the Blackberry. I collect a copy of all my email as well, you can enter your own pop3 and smtp server if you wish. there are tons of other applications available, such as Priority Pass database if you have lounge access.

Oh you can make phone calles as well.

The erricson p910i and Treo 650 are nice though both do have limitations and are quite big being PDAs also way out of my justifiable buget!A powerful entry laptop costs less!

I had thought of the erricson 800 second hand? but even that costs £30 more than a Nokia 6230

I almost decided on a K750i second hand! but reading the data and then review decided against it. I just wish the Nokia camera wasent so useless, either they ought to do what business wants and leave it out or provide a good VGA camera as Sony dose

The Nokias the best value with good memory and memory card as i dont take my laptop with me i can only send my images, and want to keep, SMSs to my PDA flash card, The Nokia has enough memeory for a few days, unlike my 630 which only had 2 megs!!

I also like to keep the PDA and phone apart just in case one goes over the side!!

Another point is that i caused my PDA to crash just buy cleaning the screen when off!! Did it twice, but now not for more than 6 months??
Perhaps it was the area i was in--very wet!! I do back up but not everyday!!And sods law it crashed when i hadent backed up Twice!!
Perhaps now im nearer to power points i back up more often so it just dosent see the need to crash!!! Do they have a mind of their own??
