Before Christmas I ordered from Houdini (at great expense) a new rubber seal for the forehatch on my Hunter Delta which was built around 1984. However, after eventually getting down to the boat last weekend it seems that I have got the wrong seal. This is a hollow extruded rubber 'P' section with a'T' shaped lip for fitting into a channel but in my case the fit into this channel is very floppy. (No wisecracks please!) Having discussed it with Houdini it appears that my hatch may not be a Houdini after all but a close copy. It fits fairly flush with the deck, the frame is aluminium about 500 mm square and has four safety bars exactly like the Houdini hatch. It is locked with two aluminium handles and is held open by a double cranked length of 1/4 inch alloy rod which slides in slot about 3 inches in length. The two aluminium hinges are 45x53 mm ('scuse the mixed units). Hunter's think it should be a Houdini but cannot be certain. Can anyone please suggest what make it is and where I can obtain the correct seal?

The seal currently fitted is a simple sticky-backed foam about 1/4 in thick. It seems to have worked for the last few years so, if all else fails, maybe I shall resort to something similar.
