Which Astro App?

Astro is now effectively only a "break glass in emergency" option for when all your electrics/electronics are dead (and it can happen). Apart from that it's useful practice to take and reduce a few sights on boring long passages to keep your hand in, and be able to announce after a couple of hours between sun-run-sun that the GPS appears to be 0.7 miles out!

I see no point whatsoever in relying on any electronics to work out a sight except for a digital watch on your wrist. And even if that dies you can still get latitudes.

May be because GPS does not work all the time. It can be switched off, jammed or spoofed.
It is currently being jammed and spoofed by Russia in and around Ukraine.
Sorry, I was not clear in my post.

What I was trying to say was if you are using astro why bother with an app. The sums are not that difficult, even I can do them!
