Richard Dunston's Ltd closed down. One of the last employees entered the new-fangled Lottery and chose his numbers by wandering around the shipyard using numbers on the various bits of machinery. He won £22 million.
It's still used as a loading key now and then. The bollard in my picture is on the far bank, hidden by this bulk carrier.
