I had to cut mine off recently and need a replacement. Vetus do a 30dia and 40dia but I need one with a 1" dia. Vetus are also asking around £40?

Any ideas??

Re: What\'s a rudder arm?

Because I'm a complete numpty!!

It was covered in gunge/grease/rust etc and I didn't see the extra bolt that ran through it holding it too the shaft. I was convinced it was stuck solid. Angle grinder revealed a nice bolt right through the arm and shaft. Doh.

The rudder had to be removed to fix the soft wood under the gland.

Lesson learnt. New one required.

seen 'em in asap catalogue + loads from lecomble/schmidt steering catalogue, but all with small hole needing machining to suit your rudderstock
