Indeed, but just for context, those are specifically-built catamarans, with asymmetric hulls, specifically designed to "hook" on the water when turning to port.
That's why when they encounter a tiny wave, sufficient to slightly lift the "hanging" part of the hull and lose grip, they go out of the window PDQ! :oops:

Still 165 knots is pleasantly brisk.
Mph is the standard, in racing boats.
I don't think specialized analogue speedos (mostly made by Livorsi) even exist with anything else than mph.
Though you can configure whatever you like with modern electronic displays, obviously.

Its like US oval car racing .. cars designed to only turn left .. with limited right for overtaking if needed.
