Whats the difference between the Gibsea 92 and 96?

Whats the difference between the Gibsea 92 and 96? they both seem to be the same era and same length so I'm a little confused.

96 is longer, wider, taller, deeper, heavier and carries more sail. ie bigger

they are from different designers

Ah yes, I've found the stats now: the 96 is 0.7m longer. Strange they had two models out of such similar dimensions.
