Ooh, heresy! It's so successful that the weegies are trying to build one of their own. It's about the only thing that the SNP aren't blamed for.

It works very well indeed where it runs - so much so that work has started on the extension to Newhaven.

I think we should also be building trolleybus systems using battery storage to allow a reasonable amount of running away from the wires, but for mass urban transport trams are more or less unbeatable.

My uncle was a farmer who bred Clydesdales and used them in preference to his tractors, a couple of them will shift it and contribute something for your rhubarb while doing it. Mind you, I imagine they fart more than cows and almost as much as vegans?
