Re: I\'m intrigued...

Can't remember exact details as it was a couple of years ago. But the fender solution only works if the hayard will move. From what I recall it was jammed solid and we were trying to pull it forward out the jam.

Ah, could be difficult if the string's stuck. I apologise for assuming that you were just looking for an excuse to use that bosun's chair thingy.

.....and there was me thinking that you had bought the Harrod's luxury Bosun's chair c/w footstraps and large bum!

Just where are the trolls to ascend, are they some kind of Highland animal that we need to know?

Camera angle!! Mind you my arse was encased in several pairs of fleecy long johns as weel! Trolls are bad people that seek attention on sailing forums .. err .. and do'nt like sunlight cos its a port and consequently smell of badger's armpit..

and possibly the last word

camera angle, my arse!

...actually, I'm off trolling tomorrow for a week in Lake Nassar for Nile Perch so will be coming back tanned fit and ready for the sailing season. The biggest difficulty, I foresee, will be getting my arms back from the stretched, 'It was that big' position.

It's a photo of a wimp in a bosun's chair taken by someone withj a camera lying on their back on the pontoon in Hythe Marina to make it look as though he's miles up in the air, but in fact he is 1 metre above the deck and doesn't trust the winches.

£5 I think!
