...and when you've finished looking down your neighbour's forehatch, could you flip the halyard around the Firdell?

In addition to the line round the Firdell, what's that next to the steaming/deck light? Looks like a mug or something.

So it's a picture of a wee mug up the rigging?

Would this have anything to do with the testozerone fuelled crew you're proposing to take to Weymouth?

You got the halyard hooked up round the firdell, and thought that a mug would be just the right weight to tie on to that red line, to throw up into the aforesaid snarl up. Trouble was the red line got hooked around the steaming/flood?

Sorry. I'm a half Scot, and I sympathise. Mug was a good idea though; softer than the ring spanner I normally go for.

I\'m intrigued...

...why didn't you use a fender to un-Firdell the string, like everyone else?

You know, tie fender at end of string that needs to be un-Firdelled, 'nother bit of string to hold onto fender, up goes fender, rock boat a bit, off comes string, down comes string, fender, string.

But then you wouldn't have got the photo opportunity, I suppose.
