For those days when you fancy moving to some nice anchorage, bringing all of your home amenities with you.
Other than that, a house is better in just about every respects.

Some folks seem to think they are also meant for going places, but for this purpose they are about 500 kts short of a decent speed, imho.

I like MisterBaxters quote. My paternal DNA shows norse lineage, and my wife says she would not dream of trying to separate me from floating things, or keep me too far from water, as its very clearly in my blood.

I have compromised in getting a semi-motor sailer to keep her on side but a boat is still a boat. A boat is Life
