Strangely I rented a five ton digger last week and it didn't fly, float or fornicate...

But was she a gold digger or just a common slapper?

Where is the course? We're kind of assuming it's in the UK... If it's in the Whitsunday Islands, don't forget to take me!

Sailing is one of the best ways to break finger nails. Keeping them short helps to stop them breaking. If one does break then you need to trim it so that the ragged edge doesn't catch on other things.

Me and SWMBO are doing a Competent Crewe course in 2 weeks time. I know a couple of people have posted about taking whiskey on board but would this be allowed under health and safety requirements of the sail training company? i.e worries about their client's falling overboard. We were thinking of taking a bottle of wine or two but are unsure and its not the kind of thing you want to ask the company concerned is it? Be nice to chill out after a long day on the water though. What do you guys (and gulls) think? Would it be allowed?

In short, yes!
Most instructors I know positively encourage relaxing with a drink after a hard day's learning! Especially if you're buying!
