Hello everyone. I have just joined the forum but have been stalking it for years getting lots of useful information about particular models of boat etc because I have, for years, been humming and hah-ing about taking the plunge and actually buying something. I have been sailing on other people's boats, chartering etc for quite a long time. I recently saw a boat on Clarke & Carter's site that sounded suitable. A Parker 275 (?285?) lying Aldeburgh that had recently had the price reduced to £20k which is about my budget. I rang up to enquire about it but was told it had been "taken off the market" which was disappointing. Is anyone familiar with the boat (think the name was "Redshank") and know whether it is still for sale, one way or the other?

A Parker 275 named Redshank belongs to a member of the Aldeburgh Yacht Club, they have a house in Aldeburgh.
I suggest you Contact the Club Manager/Secretary Shaun Seear on 01728 452562 or clubmanager@aldeburghyc.org.uk.
They are listed in this years Yearbook but it would be indiscrete of me to give out these details, sorry.
I would be prepared to contact them on your behalf if you let me have your contact details. Malcolm
