What grease for Dinghy Trolley Wheels?

Plastic (Nylon?) Wheels on ferrous metal axles.

I currently use silicon spray. Is there anything better?

Red rubber grease won't swell the nylon like (mineral) oil based grease will.

I doubt any dinghy trolley wheel would be that tight a fit that any swelling off the nylon would be a problem. I could be wrong, but personally I'd just use standard waterproof mineral grease.

The rust build up on the shaft will sand down any swelling

I would use Ramonol White Grease

Blake’s seacock grease is pretty sticky stuff. Blurb from website here:

“A specially formulated waterproof grease from Blakes for seacocks, a very high quality synthetic grease for water and marine environment Formulated for marine use. High adhesion properties, working temperature range -30C to 70C”

I also have always used standard marine grease, what I use for the prop-shaft

I would just use that tin of old stuff in the back of the garage. Regardless as to what it is exactly.

I googled my marine grease (Carlube) and apparently it's calcium grease which won't effect the wheels. (Calcium isn't written on the tin. ) So I'm using that.

Yes, there was an unwritten requirement that it had to be in my garage already, but I have a wide selection. As it happens Calcium Grease is fine and I had some.
