What fitting is this on my fuel pump?

Can anyone advise what the red to blue connector is in this picture.
If I'm to replace the black hose, what spec is the connector (I want to get a hose made up, rather than buy off the shelf), both ends too if you think they're different. I know the RACOR female port is (SAE J1926) 3/4"-16 UNF.
I.e is it JIC/BSP/etc

AD41 from 1988 Sunseeker, filter is a RACOR 500MA

(I'm away from the boat so cant measure)

When we replace hoses like this, and have chosen to go non-volvo, we go to one of a few local hose companies like Pirtek and ask them the cut and reuse the fittings.
It saves any issue, and I've yet to experience a fitting that couldn't be reused.
If you can be bothered, you can cut the clamp and release the fittings yourself first.

Thanks, but I want to make a spare hose, so that won't be an option. It's to use for connecting to an emergency/temporary fuel supply should the need arrise. I have redundancy for almost everything except the fuel.

They will be a common type of connector I'm fairly certain.

There's no point guessing, you'll have to measure it. Or take the hose plus the adaptor to the hose supplier as suggested above.

I'm not guessing! I'd think it is a common part, maybe I'd be better asking somewhere boat specific, this may be too general a forum.

I know you're not guessing, your post was asking other people to guess! They're all "common parts", threads and fittings can vary.

I think the easiest solution is to take the hose off with fittings and take it to a local hydraulic specialist like the one mentioned earlier to match the fittings and hose, that's what I did with mine, no hassle at all.

Yeah, I guess it'll just have to wait until I get to the marina next. Did hope to get one on the way there. Ah well!

It's no good knowing the thread in the pump or the Racor housing, the adaptors that have been used could be various threads.

As suggested, take the hose to a hydraulics company, or if it's awkward to get off, just take the two adaptors.

If I had to completely guess I reckon they are 3/8 female BSP. The one on the filter is a swept 90 and the other is straight.

The filter female port will be some American thing with a male/male adapter in it. The engine also has an adapter in it.

Unless the person who designed it was a complete monster they won’t have out different type of fittings on either end of the same pipe.

If you undo the fittings and take some better pictures you could work it out. Pipes will be a lot cheaper online from the likes of hydraulic megastore than they will be in Pirtek.

To me, they don't look standard at all. The yellow arrow is pointing to a female socket on the pump. The red arrow is pointing to what looks like an adaptor. The fitting on the end of the black tube is probably standard but didn't match the female socket. Well it wouldn't because it also looks female.

But I wouldn't rely on what I say as I only mess about with oily things these days when I really have to.

Edit. My phone froze while I was typing up two new posts said similar things.

why not google up the sellers of the pump and ask them what thread it is??
Because there is an adapter/double-ended-male which takes that out the equation.

Looks like a standard hydraulic fitting. Take it to the local hydraulics depot and they will match it for you.
That's the plan it seems! 👍🏻

Yeah, was hoping someone with the same setup may know, I feel that's too niche a request now. 😅

Thanks for the sensible input 👍🏻

The OP is trying to create a spare hose-why have not one made that goes straight into the racor and the other end fits right into the pump-what could be better? -you may not need a christmas tree of adaptor parts, although you might if the threads are not standard to the hose maker -in my book one missing piece of info -the thread of the pump. the rest can be left up to the hose maker

I quite often have hoses made up by local Hydraulic Shop .. I have various gear with hydraulics etc.

As another suggests - why not get hoses made up that no longer require adaptors ? Maybe change original to simpler ?

I'd be taking off original anyway - with any adaptors needed and let Hydr Shop do their work ..

That would make it a complete nightmare to fit because you would have to spin the whole pipe rather than just the end of the fitting to tighten it. That's why they used the adapters.
