When you see a large boat what immediately springs to mind :)

(Question assumes you don't recognise the boat as either a friend or notorious forum member)

Depends on the circumstances I guess...

Scenario No1....Loooking at said big boat at its berth with owners sipping wine in the Sunshine...my thoughts...envy!

Scenario No2....Sat out the bay enjoying the weather on the drift with a line dangling over the side....looking up to see the said big boat baring down on you bows up at 30knots...my thoughts....oh f*&K....lol

Surely a "big boat" is relative!
Ask someone in a 5 metre boat what he thinks of a 9 metre boat and he'll/ she'll probably think it's a big boat. Ask the same question of an owner of a 15m boat and he'll think you've gone bonkers. :D

Mmmm. Australians.

What constitutes a big boat? To some a 42 footer is big, peeps often comment on wow you must be rich to own a big boat, ( I do point out that I am actually poor because I own a 42ft boat);) when I see a big big boat I wonder what the peeps do, or who they are! And yes I do think that they are lucky to be able to afford a nice boat, and the associated running costs.

Now where's my lottery ticket:rolleyes:

Is it unusual to feel some admiration? However they may have managed to obtain such a vessel, they have to be admired for it.

I don't generally feel envy, as I know I could have accomplished more if I weren't so lazy. :D

Thank you Jonic, I can see my dabble into TV production is going to keep haunting me :D

As for all the spelling misteaks , doesnt that make the forum less formal and more welcoming to newbies ;) I must be mellowing if the only complaints about my posts are spellings , even the raggies havent stuck the boot in :)

BIG boat is indeed relative, I had in mind something like Match but I expect jfm would have in mind something the size of William Tai, but the question and poll remain a constant :)

Now look here Paul  , I dont have to stay here and listen to your insults all day.............................I can get that reception anywhere :D

Never mind the spelling of flirt, one of forum members who answered " I 'd have a go at his wife tonight in case she owns it" has been on my boat supping my beer following an invitation by swmbo  you know who you are ;)
