Old Mobile phones. I have a couple that are, as my son says bricks but it seems a shame to throw them, somebody must have a use for them??? what else can I do with them............/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I don't know but I have been wondering on similar lines about old P.C.s. I have 2 really ancient ones in the loft dating from 1993 and 1995 so virtually no resale value. Any ideas?

There was a charity collecting old ones, they could either be recycled or used in third world countries. Cant remember who though.

The local Civic amenity site - aka tip, dump or recycling centre. My local one in LB of Wandsworth takes old PCs for recycling.

Old mobiles can, indeed, be recycled. Take them to Oxfam - details here

I'm sure there are similar schemes for PCs.

Just been trudging through the latest recycling legislation. This will require manufacturers and/or distributors to collect electrical goods from consumers and recycle component parts. First part of all this starts in August and seems to cover products that are replaced by consumers on a like for like basis. Oh joy..

Thanks for the info everybody, I have elected to use office green as they will also take print cartridges and you can make the donation to a specific charity. The phones go to the third world!!! The print cartridges will be recycled, and all this time I've been dumping them. Oh foolish me.
