Have got fed up with the dodgy wiring on the Draco so today have pulled out the complete dash panel.... God what a mess and what genius decided to rivet the brass contacts on to te fuse box with mild steel rivets, oh hum
Dash now on dining table ready to be measured and a new one cut out.

Absolutely beautiful day on the water today. Blue, blue sky, water totally calm, no-one else going out, so no-one in our way in the lock.

So calm and peaceful and serene when there's no wind. Pity other days weren't like it!

Re lets see if this comes to bits.....

Have you got a thing about not actually getting this boat on the water.
Every time you get something sorted you go and pull something else to bits and spread it all over your kitchen table.

Re: Re lets see if this comes to bits.....

Valid point Fred, actually 2 things triggered this A. although both engines now running Insurance is out of use Nov-March and B. I've had a flakey stbrd rev-counter since I brought it. So started fiddling with rev counter and found that it's an intermittant connection somewhere in the rats nest and the only way to do it is to strip the panel. If you'd seen the mess behind the panel I'm sure you'd agree!

Re:Well Now

It seems The rain in Spain does not always stay on the plane, (a bit like my Sealine) Saturday twas too wet & rough so had to take my guests to Gib for some shopping, via road shock horror.

Sunday managed to get them out on the boat as the wind had turned westerly, so reasonably flat conditions. Today (mon) crap again. Earlier Phil and I were taking a P48 from being craned in back round to its berth, just reversing in when the heavens opened, gosh when it does rain here its pretty heavy. Got soaked to the skin, whilst securing her.

On weds next we have to deliver her to a very large boat in Gib, to be craned aboard, and thence to Sweden I believe. Peters & May job I think .
