What anodes? Aluminium or zinc?

Whatever you use, you have to use the same throughout the boat. you can't mix and match.

I can understand that if anodes of different material/alloys are bonded together but if they are protecting totally independent parts (say, the prop/shaft and a rudder) what can go wrong?
