Cant blame a guy for trying /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif honest though anyone in SoF early september is welcome to come for a jolly, don't care if you have no intention of ever buying one but we'll suck you dry of ideas and for feedback so be warned!
First two days of Cannes show, I've drawn the short straw and been dumped with Mr Press boat driver for the factory so come to the stand and we'll have a blast

Serious question ref. Abs 45' Is there a configuration with a crew seat/bench forward or does it go straight to seats around a table opposite and a little at of helm position?
yeah the 45 is a seating arrangement around the cockpit table port of the helm position, however we are seriously considering a different layout for the 47 hence the customer feedback thing in Spetember, if enough people like the idea we will make it with two seating areas much as you describe.
If your comment was aimed at Jez, in his defence, I dont think he instigated all the threads on Westline. The question of over/under exposure of them has become something of a standing joke on the forum that many people are enjoying.
I say good luck to him, and I wish him every success.
I think Im being misunderstood, it was not a personal go at Jez (who I happen to think does post some good stuff on here)
I merely want to see pics of other boats !!
Im sure as some of you guys say it will die down in time,
just looked at the w34 again, how much is that one again ?????
Surely pics of any boats is a good idea?
This new Westline is a very fresh new boat, so i find it exciting to see several pics of it, and hope to see more, as we haven't seen any interior pics yet!! Jez!!!!
I saw just keep the pics coming whatever it is of!!
I feel that Jez gives an awful lot to this forum and if we can help him in his new venture in any way we should. If you dont like looking or hearing about the topic discussed, DONT READ IT.
There is no need to appologise. I am acutely aware there is a fine line between posting something that is interesting to the forum and ramming the product down peoples throats.
When you are so involved with something and so enthuastic about a product, as I am, sometimes you forget yourself and get a bit carried away.
Thanks to all the forumites for their support though, it is encouraging. I'll try and sit on my hands for a bit though.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
agreed , I think people are finally starting to see sense on this and similar issues , hooray if I'm right
Jez , sitting on hands is no way to get a business going /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif and it can give the wrong impression too /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
im very interested in jez's boats and his new business. its a boat business , not selling widgets so his postings on the boats and on the startup of his new venture are relevant to this forum. hes not trying to sell anyone a boat. i think people with 100k to spend will make up there own minds and not be swayed in any way by jez's posts.
FWIW I think Jez's post are fine and I'd encourage him to keep posting about his business and the westline boats. Anyone starting a new business and risking his capital needs a bit of help from mates (including e-mates), and rules are made to be bent imho so I'd encourage him to plug Westlines a bit on here, and keep us entertained with reports on how his new business is going. And it's not like he is using the forum just as a free advert space: he has put quite a bit into this forum so he's kinda morally entitled to get a bit of help back from it, imho. They seem to be nice/interesting boats and I've enjoyed seeing the pictures.
Also, we all have quite a bit of £££ invested in these crazy boats we own so it is useful to have trade insiders on here (not just Jez, Nautical and Depsol too) to give us info now and again on how business is going from the trade/dealer side of things
Not picking a fight boatkid, just repectfully giving a different point of view
I think the layout in your pic (the 56, right?) is fab Nautical. What so many boats lack is a decent lunch table where you can have 7 or 8 bods for a long sociable lunch. That roundish lunch table looks perfect (with a couple of directors chairs at the starboard side). It's a much better lunch venue than say a Princess 20m or 67
The fab lunch table is a main reason why we got the Sq58. It has worked wonderfully well, and I've got lots of "value" out of it by using it for client lunches and stuff (and will do this weekend at the Monaco GP).
Small point: I'd put a tiny lip fiddle all around the table on the 56 though. The lip on ours has saved a guest getting embarrassed by spilt wine on one or two occasions
Will be happy to nip round from Antibes and critique the lunch table in September on the 45. If you can stock it with some nice fois gras and seafood that will help the test
