Well Done MDL

Yes, the subject is correct. After all the slagging that MDL get I feel it is only fair to say "well done" when they get it right.
Last week I posted a question regarding which marina to use in Poole. Bill Knight who works for MDL in Ocean Village was watching the forum and called me on my mobile to suggest Cobbs Quay. I asked if it could be pre booked, was told yes, and that he would book it for me. Next day call from Cobbs Quay confirming booking, and my request for help, being a "Coastal Virgin". Arrived at marina on Saturday,was met by friendly staff on mooring, and given a monster size berth. Spent 2 days there in great marina (although the local area is a bit drab), filled up with petrol at 80.1ppl, and the cost (excluding the petrol) a big fat ZERO due to Outlook member free nights. We will definately go back the next time we are in Poole.

What happened to the other forum members that were going to Poole ?
Did you make it, And where did you end up?
We were on the town quay rafted up, didn't see any other burgees.

I was up and down past the town quay on Sat, Mon and Tues, with burgee proudly flapping in the breeze. 'Fraid didn't see you, but saw you all rafted up, counted up to 7 deep, that sounds like fun.

Petrol 89ppl at Cobbs Quay, not bad, for waterside. Almost not worth messing around with Jerry cans.

Visited Guernsey, by car ferry, on Wednesday. Filled up car with diesel for 35ppl. That's less than some marinas charge. And it's road legal DERV. Pertol 44.5ppl, I wish........
