Decided to book into Brixham for the night, not realising it was the Pirates Festival and the town had a great atmosphere. The berth we were allocated meant the wind was blowing onto the bows and we had a perfect wind break from which we had a great view and thoughts of the over heating engine a distant memory... (apologies for quality - only had phone on me)

You can have too much of a good thing and although we had intended to try and catch up with the SWFBR, we were 24 hours too late for the trip to Dartmouth, but we eventually tore ourselves away from Brixham Sunday afternoon....

Great pictures Andy! were you in Dartmouth with the two Doral Boca Grandes? we spent the weekend cleaning and getting used to "Scenic Flight" and just had a short trip to Babbacombe then over to Brixham, but no berths available so back to Torquay. Steve and Gary (the Doral boys) invited us to join them going to Dartmouth but I was still getting used to the new boat. Looks like I missed out on a good trip...

Yes and no.. We got as far a Dittisham and saw Steve and Gary rafted up with 2 others so the buoy was at its limit, and we went back via Dawlish! (FIL was looking at webcam and asked if he could see us !!!) and then via Elbery Cove to see if there was any Fletchers around. Which pontoon are you on, we have booked Brixham for next BH, just hope weather is as good...

We are on E22, Bavaria 29DC. Wont be down this weekend, but I am hoping to get down sometime next week with some more bits to fit - some extra low level lights for the cockpit and an induction hob. Looking forward to a good season!

Great pictures Andy and so glad to hear that the overheat issue didn't resurface! Although I appreciate there's always an element of doubt at the back of the mind for a while, it does look like it was just a partial obstruction then? If so, a good result :encouragement:

The SWFBR 'leisurely cruises' seemed more races anyway, but sorry we missed you! If you do Facebook, there's a public page with a few pictures etc - https://www.facebook.com/events/542475315808647

If you're still down Friday evening, a few of us are meeting for beers at the Prince William in Brixham?

Thanks, unfortunately wont be down until 23rd as we have a wedding in Lymington next w/e

I wandered along around 9.30ish Sunday morning and there was only 1 person about so I guess Saturday night was good !

This chap seems to have caught the Dartmouth jaunt though ....

May see you for Brixfest ?

Nice find Andy - yes that's the 'Mob'... :D Weather changed plans Sunday and went to Exmouth rather than Salcombe so left about 11am - did night cruising on Saturday night & came in about 10:30.

We should be out in the Bay on the weekend of 23rd - marshalling for round 1 of the powerboat racing... A first for me!
