I have to pick up my new boat from Newhaven ,due to the distance I have to come could someone please give me an idea of the road conditions (and off road as I have to load the boat on my trailer).
A few pictures would be nice :D

I've got to go to Chichester Harbour tomorrow :( in a 1962 Land Rover with no heating  If I do make the trip I'll let you know what the roads are like. Yesterday was OK from Chichester to Cornwall apparently but we had quite a bit more snow last night, 12" now in Reigate but roads are OK just slow driving!

Newhaven Marina has a webcam: http://www.newhavenmarina.co.uk/webcam.html

Living a few miles along the coast, there were 4-6 inches of fresh snow last night and although main roads aren't too bad, the moment you leave onto a minor road you'd want some pretty heavy duty 4-wheel drive / winter tyres / snow chain kit to manage. Don't even think of towing. The local forecast is for a thaw on Saturday, so its only a couple of days to wait.

I'm just south of Lewes. We have 8" of snow measured in an open area.
Total chaos was predicted for today but because most people stayed at home - or were marooned in trains - I don't think it has happened.
The A27 is pretty clear and I would imagine the main road to Newhaven will be OK but I would not try the C7 Lewes to Newhaven.
Minor roads are tricky.
If it doesn't dump more overnight you would probably manage it here if you can overcome the loading problem and the roads in Newhaven town but it does seem high risk if you could delay.
