Weak flame from gas hob

Interested to know how it does that...
Mine has a Green ... Orange ... Red scale and pointer ....

I open bottle - needle flicks to indicate pressure level ... only once the liquid gas inside is at really low level and pressure starts to drop does the needle start to creep back ... last time it did it - I had literally one days use !! before pressure died.
But it also can show if there's a leak by the needle not hitting the normal mark ... I was going to fit a bubble leak detector until I found out about this .. (I do have a Gas Detector set low down in cabin .... )

Its about 25yrs old and still good. I have new available if needed - but old one doesn't leak ... is both Propane / Butane and Propane / Butane mix compatible ...

Over here we have mixed because of the cold winters - but during summer - the ratio can be altered ... so they sell these type.

It is possible to get a "fridge-magnet-type" device that sticks on the side of the cylinder and indecates thegas level by sensing the temperature.

We used to check Halon Gas Fire extinguisher tanks with a hand held dial temp gauge ... we'd slide it down the tank and watch for it to change ... note the place ... then repeat from bottom up to get a check second reading. Surprisingly accurate.
