This type of hose connector to connect the hose to the water and shore power stand is fairly ubiquitous here in Spain. This is mine that I bought many years ago but a neighbour has just been charged €35 for one! It made me think that, at some stage, I may need a replacement/spare and I wondered what it's called and are they available anywhere else that's cheaper? I've looked on the major chandlers' websites and through the paper catalogues I have but I can't find them.

It looks almost like the male part of a hoselok connector? By any chance does one of them fit ?

A bit of googling and it looks a bit like this:
1PCS 1/4

I'll get the calipers out and do a bit of measuring
Unfortunately, it's a lot larger than the 1/4" unit in the link. It's a 1/2" male fitting and the inserted part is 42mm long with a 15mm diameter. Looks like it is an air hose connector of some description but I've done some more googling and I can't find anything that size.

You could change both the bulkhead one and the one on the hose to the standard water hose connectors, and then you won't be stuck if you need to replace either at any point in the future.

Note that with water hose connectors it's worth paying the extra for 'quality' brands in my experience. The cheap ones are prone to dribbling and/or failing to engage securely, I have found.

Can't change the bulkhead as it's the marina's. I might get a replacement anyway in case I have to change it in the future. Still cheaper than 35€!

I'm sure there will be a few more problems along shortly! :ROFLMAO:

I guess the O-ring on your connector is buried deep inside the fitting. If it has something as simple as an O-ring! And you're right to worry, there'll be the springs and balls of the locking mechanism for a start.

I don't have any problems with it at the moment. I was just trying to identify the part in case of problems in the future.

I favor cam loc connectors around my house. Industry standard, fast to use, and indestructible. Slightly bulky and prone to snagging when dragging hose. But I like the standardization and ruggedness.
