Hi i need some help i have new, 4 months old water tanks that are made of plastic, and the water is still tainted so i thought i would fit a filter but as i have only a foot pump would it have enough pressure to drive the water through the filter. Anyone else have the same system and does it work. Is there a pressure drop. Many thanks

I have fitted Seagull IV micro filters on my last and current boats. These are at the galley sink to provide drinking / cooking water. Both worked fine with the Whale foot pump used as back up to the electric system. I also switched to foot pump to conserve water on longer passages. It is a bit slow, but you soon learn how many strokes needed to fill a mug / kettle or what have you.
The Seagull IV probably has a higher back pressure than a simple carbon taste improving filter.
