That describes the 1980's, although back then there was also lots of cocain. It's certainly not worse than the 80s, and I'd argue things have improved.now I find it pretty sad that we basically encourage an entire generation to entirely chase money and sex and to enable them by all but pouring the alcohol down their necks to provide us with the entertainment.
I wouldn't. I regularly go back to the 80's TV (my era growing up) and yep it happened etc but most of it was far less 'reality' which I think is the point. Miami Vice, Magnum, Bergerac, Howards Way.... etc etc etc.. All escapism TV. Below Deck etc portray themselves as factual reality and the emotional destruction that goes on is factual.
