Yes, I saw post#25 but could not see what point you were making. Your original comparison was with a 2 point system against a 3 point one. The latter is inevitably more expensive because of the additional content.
Anyway my point still stands. It is priced to encourage buyers to buy it. Sure you can make lazyjacks much cheaper, as I said I have done it twice after rejecting the packaged system first time on the grounds of cost. I had one of the very first stackpacks that Kemps made. This does not mean it is overpriced, just that I did not see the value in the product. Clearly others who face the same choice do because it has been in the Barton range for 30 years or so, although as I suggested I expect sales have slowed because converting boats to lazyjacks or stackpacks is nowhere near as common as it was when these were introduced.
So your thread title does not stand up to scrutiny - its just your opinion and even though I would not buy one as I have no need There are clearly people who don't share that opinion.

I don’t understand what you’re saying Tranona. Where do I make a comparison between a 2 point system and a 3 point one? I am genuinely baffled. I start by saying that £274 is a lot for the kit, then someone says “no, it’s £117” and I say “well that’s more fair”, and then it transpires there’s two (or more) different kits, at which point I list exactly what you get (from Barton’s website) in the original one I mentioned. I’m pretty sure I don’t compare one kit against another???
Anyway, matters not really. It gave us all something to talk about, if nothing else.
