Tall buildings tend to have lightening conductors on top I seem to recall that this reduces the chance of a strike but if you do get one it will guide it straight to earth

But I could be wrong as to how/why they work

It doesn't reduce the chance of a strike, just takes it straight to earth, allegedly!! I've seen some very nasty electrical damage to a building with a lightning conductor.

I guess its always possible, I just hadn't heard of one. I would guess that a raggie is more at risk than a mobo.
