Hi,
I am interested in buying an early (early 1960s - mid 1970s) hard back copy of the 'Clyde cruising Club' cruising/pilotage/anchoring guide (added personal notes don't bother me). If you have one you could be parted from, please PM me.

Thanks

I have a May 1974 edition, blue cover, used, but in good condition, with the 'stick in yourself' corrections up to the early 80s. I also have a full set of the contemporary monochrome hand drawn CCC 'sketch charts' about A3 size if you are interested in them as an accompaniment.
I had been keeping them for sentimental reasons but who feels sentimental on a Monday morning.

I must admit I only want them for sentimental reasons as I started sailing the west coast in 1971 with the CCC blue book which, regrettably got lost along the way. The additional items you mention would be of interest to.

Perhaps you could let me know by PM how much you would like for them including postage to Aberdeenshire.
Many thanks

I have a 1923 issue, a 1937 issue, and a 1966 issue. Please note, I did not buy the two earlier ones when they were first published.:D They are not for sale, but if anyone is interested in a complete set of CCC charts, let me know.

I have a full set of 40 of those A3 chartlets, three matching admarality charts, and four CCC books. They have been used and have some pencil markings on them

I don't know their exact age (about1946 I think) and no idea of their value.

I have just kept them flat on the top of a wardrobe.

I was given them for helping someone move house (he had given up sailing)

I have been considering framing them but there are so many.

i probably am interested! but what are they like?

The charts are very basic. They are 19" x 15", black and white. They dont have soundings on them, but some have some inshore contours. They do show dangers and have safe course lines marked on them. There are 40 of them plus an index chart. They cover from the Clyde, upto Loch Grimshader in Lewis.
