No, no ditch they are connected at the "wide ends" by about 20 miles of good sailing water though.Does this actually connect up with Western Yar at Yarmouth? Nothing much more than a ditch for miles, I would guess.

Only attractive as an opportunity to take out the entire long pontoon and its associated facilities", thereby leaving something in the east Solent for shoal-draught Old Harrys.
Looks to me as though it will end up like Keyhaven. There seem to be too many restrictions on the activities of the owner to make it a viable concern so you will not see a properly funded company like D & R or MDL taking over.
It is a shame as it seems that "Good intentions" will kill this harbour, but no doubt the RSPB would like nothing better than to see the whole place silted up.
