Walkaround Boats vs Traditional Small Cruisers.

[ QUOTE ]

You wouldn't expect to get 5 people and luggage in your car if you bought a sports car now would you...

I was merely pointing out that you can get 5 people and luggage in what in performance terms would be considered a sports car.

That does look nice, and its got patio doors like SWMBO has always wanted!!

Only thing is, were out in a Cruiser 390 with an enclosed cockpit, and afterwards she said she didn't like it, and prefered the open cockpit!!!
Wimin, do they never make there minds up!!!

Personally i quite like this, with its deep wide side decks and pretty high guard rails, looks a hole lot safer and more fun than my S24.

You see I'm still trying to talk my wife into moving too the Sea, she very worried about the safety aspect, and to be safer i think a walkaround might be better, but so far all the walkarounds we've looked at seem to be limited in its accomadation, which to a female seems to be ver important.
I need ammunition guys to go to SWMBO and say these boats are better because.....

they are better because............

mooring lines/mooring up
locks
anchoring/recovery
putting out the fenders
rafting - people can realistically walk round not over your foredeck
partying - the new 'kitchen' is the foredeck
access to the foredeck sunpad is easier and safer

downside is the accomadation space below relative to similar sized craft (but the same can be said for cockpit space v accomadation most times)

I am biased - I will only give up walkrounds when my boats are large enough to have proper sidedecks
