VP Outdrive opinions please..

Just entering "bent shaft" and "oldgit" into the YBW search seems to produce a couple of anecdotes, without OG the list is endless!
Search results for query: bent shaft
I make that 3 bent shafts and a p-bracket on your own boat alone, sometimes the facility to tilt for clearance or repair without a lift out can be useful.

I think we should agree to disagree, but all boats have expensive stuff dangling underneath that needs attention.

Some anecdotes.

Just quick lick of paint and bit of maintenance should soon have this back under the water? :)

Shaft Drive boat annual haul mout.
Quick jet wash off , change anodes lick of A/F and back in we go.

and next up we have

Apart from the first picture, which is a boat getting on for 40 years old and quite possibly a project, the rest don't show anything to support your argument. I see drives, some in various states of servicing, but all perfectly normal. Even the first picture could have a thousand different explanations, none of which relate to drive reliability. Hell, I could show you a picture of one of my boats in the same state, but the drive was in perfect health.
