Volvo Penta D6 EVC2 documentation

I have a VP d6-400 with DPI. It is all controlled by an EVC2 control system. Does anyone know if the EVC2 is documented and available to customers? Should this be provided to the original owner, in this case myself? I really like to read up on how things work in case they go wrong. Much of VP's documentation appears to be a state secret.

It ‘should’ be available in the owners manual, which ‘should’ have been handed over with the boat as it would have been delivered with the engines as a loose item
Electronic copies would be available as a download, certainly from the VP Dealer site and also likely from the VP public site
