I see on another thread that something called Ford Green is the same as Volvo green - is it as simple as that? My recollection is that there as many different ford greens as stars in the sky!

Years ago, I bought a little tin of touch-up Volvo green paint from VP dealer Volspec. Maybe they, or other VP dealers, offer something like it today?
It is indeed Ford Meadow Green (available in Halfords) and a perfect match for Volvo green
I have half a can of Frost's Buick green, available in Hamble. This is identical to VP green.
Frosts the car restoration people do a Buick green that is identical to Volvo green, i have used it & it was a perfect match.
The chap in the other thread wanted to brush it. If you're ok with a rattlecan, TK Colorspray makes a matching one which I've touched up my engine with and you can't tell the difference. Cheapest offer at the time was: http://www.piratescave.co.uk/tk-colorspray-volvo-penta-green.ir
If you had an isolated rusty parch on an engine what would you do to prep for a localised in-situ re-spray. I assume you'd wire brush the flaking paint and rust off (perhaps with a dremel). Neutralise the rust then prime and re-spray. Is the right approach?
