Excellent website and very informative, at first glance Kad has more power and supercharger, AD is turbocharged. From this information I would assume Kad would be more expensive.
There is not probably a lot of difference in top speed but the effect of the compressors cutting in is very impressive. We are on the plane in seconds with the KAD32s
It seems fairly apparent that the KAD is the better of the two engines.
My basic goal was to establish whether the valuation of a boat would change dramatically depending on which engine was used.
So price wise not a lot in it then. I spoke with someone today and he said the Kad because it was supercharged would also be noisier. Surprising what you learn.

Yes, but only whilst it's running. Remember that once you get over a certain number of revs the supercharger stops and the turbo takes over. Therefore this is not an issue if you're berthed near to the open sea but can be a pain if you're at Port Solent where there's a 10 knot speed limit through Portsmouth harbour.
