vivacity mast problem

Last year when I errected the mast on my newly purchased vivacity 650 I noticed that the shrouds were a little short to give enough tension. Later I noticed that the deck under the mast was distorted enough to prevent the door to the heads from opening. Also the roof of the cabin inside had a small crack and was obviously bent in under pressure. I did sail the boat on a few occasions without any problems but need to investigate further before launching the boat again next month. I would hate to lose a mast! I would be grateful for any advise.

I used to have an old model vivacity 20. Great boat for its size - but I soon learned to put a broomstick ( cut to length) under the mast ech time I went sailing.

Thanks for the tip. Obviously this is not something confined to my boat. Can I assume that catastrophic failure is not imminent?

I had an early vivacity 20 years ago, but don't remember any problems in that area.
Try the vivacity website - vivacity.pagehub.com or vivaweb.hypermart.com not sure which is current.
