Have just received an e-mail from a friend. This warns of a virus jdbg (dot) exe which is not regognised by Norton or McAfee and will sit dormant for 14 days. The message gives instructions on how to deal with it. I suspect that the message is actually the virus and if the instructions are followed it will be activated.
Does anyone out there have any knowledge of this?

If you enter 'jdbg.exe' into Google it will point you to a Symantec notice about this. A hoax, basically.

This is a Joke..

jdbg.exe is a NORMAL software inside of Windows.. Don't remove it and don´t contact your friends from your sending list about it..

It is not reconised by the Antivirus,, just because IT IS NOT A VIRUS...

a favourite hoaxer's trick. they tell you a particular file is a virus, you delete it, then have to re-install windows because you've removed a vital component.
