Tomorrow we are off to Sada to see a 8.5 LOA fiberglass sailing boat .According to the yacht club/marina the owner is wanting to sell as he is getting too old.For us it’s handy as It solves the where to keep it problem and the marina has the air of an English yard ….The boat is ashore so we get to see the hull ,keel and rudder but initially Dont get to run the engine.Plan is to have an inspection and decide if we want to proceed further then return and try and do a systematic review, maybe running the engine .Its going to be a surprise as we know nothing except it’s recommended by the club director……we don’t event know if it has narrow side decks😂

It is most inconsiderate of the owner not to be selling through a brokerage. We will be dependent on you, Wansy, to furnish us with photographs after your visit to inform our perusal, so that we can offer you our carefully considered words of wisdom and blind prejudice to aid your rejection weighing of the merits of said craft.

With my iphone I will faithfully capture the essence of this mystery craft which will be posted asp……although on awakening this morning the idea of sanding and varnishing the woodwork did create doubt!

I hate to break it to you, but this was actually a dream.

Did you know sleep-posting on forums is a thing? You'll wake up tomorrow, find this thread, and think someone has hacked your account.

Do you have a little black book of all the maritime dates that proved unsuitable?

If you show me a photo of your new boat -purchased boat- I will show you a photo of mine

No pressure of course
