The boat's a mess, covered with a tarp for reasons unknown (maybe a leak, hence the replacement dodgy headlining) and the heads compartment has a real "solo bloke" look to it - what are the cushions like? I'd have it, it's a nice boat, but not for that money. Assuming they're paying for the berth by the month, and you can take it over I'd put in a cheeky 4/5k offer, cash today, void tomorrow.
He had been befriended by the club and they pulled him in from were he was anchored as a strong gale was expected and gave him a berth in the marina and he became friends of the members .When he died the club took charge of the boat hauled it ashore and gave it a clean up and a coat of antifoul.Weather he died on the boat or at his home in France I don’t know but they are acting for the family .

Circumstances were fast moving and a parcel service called whilst we were viewing called and the wife wanted to return home pronto! But the half hour there was enough to get an idea of the beast.The second visit ,it’s only an hour and a bit from home ,I have a list of things to look at like the cored deck and keel raising device and the deck head lining which doesn’t impress the wife

You might be wrong there. With the state of my legs I have only been able to climb the ladder once since it was laid up in october to get aboard. I have just had to pay someone to clean decks & teak to keep her tidy .If things do not improve it may well be goodbye DD
